Newsroom leaders of color will gather for a private conversation focused on the evolving landscape of environmental journalism

Prior to the Uproot Project National Convening, newsroom leaders of color will gather for a private, off-the-record conversation focused on leadership, influence, and the evolving landscape of environmental journalism. This small, informal roundtable creates space for editors, senior reporters, and newsroom decision-makers to reflect on shared challenges, exchange strategies for navigating leadership roles, and explore ways to support and mentor the next generation of environmental journalists of color. The gathering is designed to foster candid dialogue and strengthen relationships among leaders shaping the future of climate and environmental coverage.

Drinks & light bites will be served.

Thank you to the MacArthur Foundation for their support of this event.
